Hi, I’m Andres — Your Expat Real Estate Agent in The Hague
Hi, I’m Andres, founder of MiCasa, your expat real estate agent in The Hague. I’m a long-time expat who turned personal home-buying experience into a professional mission.
After successfully buying a home in The Hague twice as a foreigner, I saw firsthand how complex the local housing market is. That’s why I founded MiCasa: to fill the gap and offer a specialized service built by an expat real estate agent who truly understands your needs.
With over 15 years of international experience in the corporate world, I’ve worked in roles spanning Category Management, Sales Strategy, and Business Development across the Consumer Electronics industry. I’ve always loved data, structure, and strategy — but what truly drives me is helping people navigate complex decisions with clarity and confidence.
One moment I’ll never forget: when my wife and I visited the house we now live in, I accidentally left my scarf behind. I called the selling agent and arranged to pick it up that same evening. The owner opened the door and we ended up chatting for 45 minutes. Later, our own realtor told us that this small interaction helped the seller choose our bid over the others. That’s how important relationships can be in this process — and that’s a big part of what I bring to the table.
Combining Professional Expertise with Personal Insight
The traditional Dutch housing system isn’t designed with expats in mind, often leaving international buyers feeling overwhelmed by the language, bureaucracy, and aggressive bidding wars. At MiCasa, I offer a service built on insight, experience, hard work, and a strong local network —everything it takes to succeed in a competitive market.
A few years ago, I took a step back from the corporate world, and more recently, I’ve been studying the official OVGP course to become a certified real estate agent (makelaar), having already passed the crucial Koop-Verkoop module — one of the most important parts of the licensing track.
As your dedicated expat real estate agent in The Hague, I combine this professional know-how with the kind of guidance I wish I had received: honest advice, full-process support, and a no-nonsense commitment. I speak Spanish, Catalan, English, Dutch, and a bit of Italian — and I’m here to help you feel at home, every step of the way.
